Our COVID-19 Safety Protocols

As of May 20th, 2020, Milltown Family Dental is open for non-emergency dental services. In addition to our own safety protocols, our team will be following the recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We are excited to resume our regular services, and we are working hard to keep our patients and staff as safe as possible. If you have any questions about our new precautions, please reach out to our front office, and we will be happy to offer clarification.

Scheduling Your Appointment

When you schedule your next appointment with us, you will be asked a few health-related screening questions over the phone. If you have missed an appointment with us due to our recent closure, we will be reaching out to you to reschedule. Please be patient, as it will take time to address the current backlog. Since appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients, you may be offered fewer options for appointment times. We also ask that adults attend their appointments alone. For children, we ask that only one adult accompany them.

Entering The Office

Please call our front office when you arrive to check-in and provide updated answers to our screenings questions. We’ll ask you to wait in your car until you are called, at which point you will be taken directly to your treatment room. We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use upon entering our office. You will also find some in the reception area and elsewhere that you can use as needed. We plan to allow more time between appointments to reduce foot traffic. We are also asking all of our patients to wear a face mask or covering during every visit. Unfortunately, we do not have any extra PPE (personal protective equipment) to offer our patients.

Additional Updates

Our waiting area has been modified in an effort to reduce cross-contamination. We have temporarily removed any unnecessary items that were present in our waiting room, like magazines and complimentary beverages. Air purifiers have also been installed in our lobby and every treatment room. We have been working diligently to abide by all current and updated PPE standards per the recommendations of the ADA, CDC, and OSHA. You may recognize these changes during interactions with staff. Our team will also be following the sanitization methods that we have always followed, like frequent hand washing and thoroughly sterilizing each treatment room and the lobby.
